NK Tiling

"I recently had the pleasure of working with NK Tiling Ltd for a complete retiling project, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. Here's a detailed review of their exceptional service. We had a serious issue with the previous floor done just 4 years ago on water underfloor heating. Since the beginning, we have had issues, starting from marks appeared on the porcelain tiles due to condensation few days after turning on the heating, and ending with several tiles moving and clacking under our feet until few weeks ago. We had already worked with NK Tiling Ltd for the tiling of a small porch, and we decided to have a consultation with Nick for the issue. Since the beginning, Nick demonstrated again his professionalism and attention to detail during the planning phase. Nick quickly identified the problem in poor tiling due not only to "dotting and dabbing", but also with the fact that the previous UFH boards were not primed before latexing, and lack of preparation of the subfloor. All these errors led to the issues described above. After taking up the old tiles and UFH panels, Nick started the floor preparation by scrabbling with a diamond drill first, and then using a DPM Tile master with 20mm latex on top. Then he installed himself the new 20mm UFH boards for the underfloor heating company. After that they completed the UFH piping, Nick added a 10mm latex layer, and layed down a Ditra 25 decoupling membrane in preparation for the new tiles that he then fit in a wonderful herringbone pattern. I also have to mention that the tiles we chose are 600x100mm, therefore the actual tiling work was really extensive, and Nick demonstrated excellent skills and astonishing attention to details. The final result exceeded our expectations. The level of expertise demonstrated on the subfloor preparation has gone far beyond our expectations. The quality of the workmanship is evident in every single detail. The new flooring is now stunning and looks incredibly durable and well-installed. I highly recommend NK Tiling Ltd for any retiling projects, from a small one to an extensive one like ours.
