"Visited in June. The cafe used to have decent food has become pricey without good value to say the least. The Jacket potatoe with spiced chicken and cut salad has now reduced to only 3 pieces of chicken the size of 50p coin each, not acceptable for the price it charged. I enquired about if it had been a scoop of unintended result, the cashier staff said without speaking to the kitchen, responded decisively with it is whatever it is and however it is served. It was more pricey than many of the better garden centres ane cafes i had been to in Lymington and New Forest areas. A shame that the cafe food reduced my pleasure that day of visiting Dobbies. I hope they improve on it."
"Visited this Dobbies store in Cadnam for the first time. We wanted to stock our garden with plants and needed help. We asked one young lady ( sorry name not known) for advise and she was most helpful and informative, thank you! ( dreadlock hair & cool spider tattoo) next we stopped a male member of staff and to be honest he was not helpful and you could see he was desperate to get away and not to bother him. He implied he didnβt have time to explain what advice we were seeking! When we filled up our cart and went to the tills we were greeted with eyes rolling and a comment out loud of how they hated lots of plants and it annoyed her so much that she had to put it all through the till. This girl totally starved the atmosphere like a vampire even though we spent over Β£150 on plants. I nearly decided to dump the trolley and go and spend our money elsewhere! Thatβs two reasons why I will not return to this store again. Appalling behaviour from two members of staff!"
"Went here for lunch. Slow service. Probably not enough staff on. Disappointed. Salad served - lettuce browned at the edges). (To cap it off, a lady allowed her dog to get on her table and eat from her plate. This is not acceptable)! Maybe the management have a few things to sort out. (Other Dobbies branches we have been to are great)."
"Easy to find ample parking well stocked competitive prices across the plants. I didn't really look at anything else. The cafe was clean and not too busy with seating in and out but extremely hot on sunny days like being sat in a green house whilst trying g to eat. Staff friendly and helpful. Disabled people friendly although be bit tight in places for mobility scooter. Will be using again when that way."
"Just joined with Dobbies plus club garden centre membership back in summer this year, so I went in to get my free two hot drinks for September, where I got a cappuccino for my family member and a mocha for myself. I usually visit more than more than 5 different garden centres a year in various locations and this branch has the worst mocha of all time including my numerous visits around the country to find the best of the top mocha cafeβs in UK! This dobbies only simply added two T spoons of choc powder and added hot water then added hot milk from a small machine then mixed in coffee powder to hand me over a βmochaβ made of mixing hot chocolate and Luke warm coffee! The staff food assistant literally said to me βyour hot chocolate and a cappuccino is ready to take away!β the taste was bland and I went back to check if it was mocha and they said it was but when I received the drink the lady said it is hot chocolate and a cappuccino! I do not understand how they cannot tell the difference between hot chocolate, mocha and coffee! the taste was just two t spoons of coco powder mixed into a bland coffee. you can clearly see the photo I took and it doesnβt even look like a hot chocolate that Iβd get from a local cafe where I live! My toddler cousin can make a better hot chocolate for me! My home hot chocolate is much milkier than theirs. Overall extremely disappointed with the whole experience, although the garden centre staff were helpful and managed to answer all my queries without a single issue. I assume this garden centre just is trying to cut costs down but even so they charged me Β£12 extra two free coffees per month and a discount on hardy plants. Will have to see what their plants are like then I shall upload another review update on the overall garden centre. I was told the plants are in alphabetical order but once a staff had a look through a plant that I asked for she was shocked to see that it never was in alphabetical order herself!"
